Jariyah Zain Shah (born 25 May 2009 in Canberra, Australia) is a youth footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Manchester United’s Under-18s. Although born in Australia, he holds English citizenship and is also eligible to represent several other countries internationally, including Australia, Pakistan, and Vietnam.
Shah joined Manchester United’s U18 squad on 1 July 2025, stepping up to one of England’s most high-profile academies. He is primarily deployed in central midfield but also has the versatility to play as a right-back.
Though still at an early stage of his youth career, Shah has already made appearances in the U18 Premier League and related competitions. His number for Manchester United U18 is 14.
Shah is viewed as a promising talent, particularly for his technical ability in midfield, positional flexibility, and potential for growth given his international eligibility and exposure at a high-level academy.
